Statuesque, poised, graceful, striking...all of those adjectives aptly describe attributes belonging to Miss Sharon Quinn, affectionately known as the Original Runway Diva, due to her presence, style and unbelievable confidence on the catwalk. The 6 foot tall, shaved head beauty is most recently recognized from her appearances on all three seasons of the Oxygen Network's popular “MoNique's F.A.T. Chance,” on which she was runner-up on the first show (owing in large part to her memorable perfect 10 score during the lingerie segment, which left both men and women speechless), “den mother” to the contestants on the second installment and Casting Producer/Special Choreographer on the recent third season, which was filmed in the couture capital of Paris. The groundbreaking show, which caught the attention of millions of viewers, was the first nationally televised plus-sized beauty competition. Sharon graced television screens again in late 2007/early 2008 with her appearances on MTV's Emmy Award winning series, “Made,” as a “Made Coach,” assisting a young lady in her difficult quest to become a model. Sharon's episode of “Made” was not only the most-watched of that series, it also garnered a 2008 Daytime Emmy award! She has also appeared semi-regularly on Better TV, the Meredith Corporation's broadband television network for women. And Ms. Quinn has put on her producing hat for the Relentless Networks' groundbreaking Plus Size TV Channel.

A native New Yorker, in addition to her modeling prowess, Quinn is an accomplished vocalist and musical theater performer. Described by popular Village Voice columnist Michael Musto as “A Plus Voiced Goddess,” she recently ended a long run at B.B. King's Blues Club & Grill, where she was selected to be the opening act for Darius Rucker of Hootie & The Blowfish's New York City solo artist debut. A budding songwriter, she is also busily working on new tracks for her own solo album as well.

Sharon has launched her own website www.sharonquinn.com which features “The Runway Diva Says...” a popular online advice column for aspiring plus-sized models, her personal blogs, samples of her music and a slide slow of her notable career highlights. Additionally, she is completing her book, “The Runway Diva's Guide to Becoming a Plus-Sized Modeling (or just looking like one). And Ms. Quinn’s popular monthly column in Plus Model Magazine is a must read!

The busy, in-demand Miss Quinn began her career on the local circuit as a plus-sized runway model in the 80's, when plus sizes were a rarity in fashion shows. In 1995, she signed on with the legendary Wilhelmina Model Agency in New York City and began a long and successful career with a client list that included The Avenue, Lane Bryant, Ashley Stewart, Bloomingdales and Nordstroms. She became a familiar face on television as well as in print, starring in national television commercials for Weight Watchers and Just My Size and frequently modeling on ABC-TV's acclaimed morning show, “The View.” Most recently, she graced the runway on “Entertainment Tonight” for Queen Latifah's new clothing line, Curvations, and on BET's “Rip The Runway.”

A modern Renaissance woman, blazing trails wherever she goes, Sharon also teaches private runway instruction to aspiring models and travels around the country speaking to women, both young and older, about the power of loving oneself...first. The multi-talented Miss Sharon Quinn, who believes in surrounding herself with positive people and positive things, is a standout model/singer/songwriter/actress/author—and role model. She stands head and shoulders above the rest.
